Pirate Nation is a casual pixel adventure rpg where players utilize their crew for various gameplay features. Players must have at least one pirate to play, and they must assign one of their pirates (or their only pirate) to be captain.
The basic gameplay loop is obtaining a crew of at least one Pirate (purchasing NFTs or eventually being given non-NFTs in F2P) and assigning a captain. With that crew players will complete various quests, bounties, exploration, crafting and eventually battles (PvE and PvP), leading to the leveling up of the pirates and ships which will lead to higher level quests, bounties, battles ect.
These gameplay activities will also earn players rewards ranging from currency (gold/marks) to a large variety of items, many of those being components that can be used to craft specific items, some that are purely for decorating and customizing their personal Island, some that are prerequisites for other quests, and some will be used to even build or upgrade ships.
With a captain chosen and (hopefully) additional crew, players can begin to quest, collect bounties, craft items, build/upgrade ships, as well as battle the Gauntlet (PvE) and/or participate in PvP battles by using ships and decks of cards that can consist of 5 categories (Damage, Defense, Control, Manipulation and Healing) or even take part in fighting World Bosses.
Quests: There will be a quest list that players can complete, each will have an energy cost and take a set amount of time to complete. A player's crew shares 150 total energy and 1 energy is replenished every 10 minutes. Each completed quest will reward XP to the pirate who was assigned and resources, crafting items and/or gold/marks will also be rewarded. Some quests will require higher level pirates to complete but will also give better rewards.
